Our mission
The practical, foreigner-first guide to traveling in China. Visa, payment, apps, transport — all verified.
Most "China travel" content online is either outdated, written for Chinese tourists, or stitched together from press releases. TravelHubChina is different: every guide is written by someone who has personally done the thing in the last 90 days, and every factual claim links to a primary source.
Who we are
A small team of travel writers, former ESL teachers in China, and bilingual editors based in Shanghai, Berlin, and Vancouver. We started TravelHubChina in 2026 because we kept fielding the same visa and payment questions from friends flying to see us.
How we verify
- Primary source. We link to government sites (NIA, MFA, MOFCOM), airline policies, and official app docs — never just travel blogs.
- Recent. Each article shows its last-updated date. We revisit and re-verify every 90 days.
- Tested. Every recommendation (hotel, app, route) was actually used by someone on our team, or by a trusted contributor whose name appears at the top of the article.
How we make money
TravelHubChina is reader-supported. We earn affiliate commissions when you book hotels, tours, eSIMs, or transport through our links — at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships never influence our editorial recommendations. If a partner gives us a poor experience, we drop them.
Current affiliate partners: Trip.com, Klook, Booking.com, 12Go, Viator, and a few eSIM providers. We mark every affiliate link with a disclosure.
