How to use this card
- Save it before you travel. Download the whole pack from /rescue-cards/ and it works offline — no app, no data plan.
- Show the big Chinese line to whoever you are talking to. They read characters; the English at the bottom is for you.
- Say it out loud too if they hesitate. A spoken request gets a faster answer than a silent card, and repeating it removes all doubt.
- Read the English to understand the reply.
What they will likely say
- “有的,这是 Type-C。” — Yes, here it is, Type-C.
- “我们没有充电宝。” — We do not have a power bank.
- “用这个接口。” — Use this port.
- “押金二十,用完退。” — Twenty yuan deposit, refunded when you return it.
Pro tips
- Carry a cable, not just a power bank. The most common version of this problem is a power bank with a USB-A plug and a phone that needs USB-C.
- A phone with a flat battery can still make emergency calls on some models. Do not assume it is completely dead.
- A hotel front desk will almost always help. This card is worth keeping somewhere separate from the pack — in your wallet, not your camera roll.
